YOSC blanks DMRAO in CC Meet

The 55th Sir Churachand Singh, KCSI, CBE Memorial Football Tournament, 2011 began today at Mapal Kangjeibung, Imphal with IFCD Minister N Biren as Chief Guest.
The All Manipur Football Association (AMFA) is organising the greatest football tournament of the state which draws attention of many reputed football clubs of the country.
AMFA President Arambam Santoshkumar presided over the inaugural function.
The first match of the tournament was played today with DMRAO and YOSC locking horns for their survival since the tournamen is being held on knock out basis.
YOSC players displayed tactical skill and outplayed DMRAO according their first win with a goal margin of 4-0.The first quarter of the match showed some tough fight between the two teams.
However, YOSC players skilfully dominated over their opponent and registered their first goal in the 33rd minute by Moses Jajo.
It was followed by another goal from his teammate Thotreichan M in the 37th minute.
The other two goals were scored by O Ajay and K Luckychand in the 41st and 69th minutes of the match.
On the other hand, DMRAO failed to score any goal which resulted in their ouster from the tournament.
Ng Prakash of DMRAO was issued a yellow card dor his unsporting behaviour.
UBSA and ESU will play the first match tomorrow at 12.05 pm while JSYC and KYVO will lock horns for their seats in the tournament in the second match at 2.00 pm.
