Gharluxmi wins Taekwondo bronze, Lanchenba in boxing semis

Imphal, October 27 2025: The National Sports Academy (NSA), Khuman Lampak congratulated Phurailatpam Gharluxmi on winning a bronze medal at the 3rd Asian Youth Games being underway in Bahrain.

Phurailatpam Gharluxmi, who is studying in Class XII at NSA, bagged the bronze medal in the U-63 kg mixed team Kyorugi event of the games, said NSA in a press release.

Expressing happiness over her achievement, NSA also wished her success in all her future endeavours.

Gharluxmi is the daughter of Ph Jiten Sharma and Ph Romita of Uripok Maisnam Leikai.

Meanwhile, Manipur's Moibungkhongbam Lanchenba Singh assured India of a medal in *he boxing competition.

Lanchenba defeated Philippines opponent Aamya Jefferson 4-1 in the 50kg boys' quarterfinal today to seal his place in the semi-final and assured himself a medal at the games.
