WFL: YWC steamroll MUFA 8-0 as ESU, MPSC split points

Young Welfare Club (YWC) produced a ruthless attacking display to thrash MUFA 8-0, while ESU and MPSC shared the points in Friday's fixtures of the 15th AMFA Senior Women's Football League 2024-25 .
Chingangbam Binomala Chanu, Yumnam Laxmi Devi, and Sorokhaibam Lakhipiyari each netted a brace as YWC dominated MUFA in an emphatic 8-0 victory at Artificial Turf Ground, Lamlong Thongkhong.
Binomala opened the scoring in the 4th minute, with Laxmi doubling the lead in the 20th.Binomala then added her second in the 35th minute to cap off a commanding first-half performance.
After the break, Warokpam Daina extended YWC's lead in the 43rd minute, before Laishram Purnimaluxmi made it 5-0 in the 58th.Laxmi completed her brace two minutes later, stretching the advantage to 6-0 .
Lakhipiyari then took centre stage, firing in two more goals in the 62nd and 72nd minutes to seal an emphatic victory for YWC.
In the day's other fixture, ESU and MPSC played out a tightly contested 1-1 draw.
ESU made a bright start when Athokpam Luxmi struck in the 4th minute, but Ningombam Chanchan Chanu levelled for MPSC in the 28th.Despite a fiercely competitive second half, neither side could find a winner, leaving the points shared.
