KFA, KYC reach 14th Jadonang Memorial Football Tournament quarterfinals

Imphal, October 25 2025: KFA, Kakhulong and KYC, Keikhu reached the 14th Jadonang Memorial Football Tournament quarterfinals with prequarterfinal victories today at SAI Takyel football ground.

In the first quarterfinal match, Namduanbou Pamei (41 '), Nrakhak Zeliang (66') and Thiyam Amujao (68') scored to earn KFA a 3-1 win over GFC, Gaisemlong.

The lone goal for GFC was scored by Th Malchong Chothe.

Later in the second quarterfinal match, KYC beat IFC, Irilbung by 3-2 goals on penalties after a 2-2 regulation time draw.

KYC conceded an own goal as P Johnson fumbled in the 22nd minute to give IFC the headway but Lamjingba Maibam equalised the margin five minutes later.

IFC retained the lead in the 37 th minute with Heithuingam Gangmei finding the target but KYC rode on Lumguangam Gonmei to equalise in the 70th minute and stretched the game to penalty shoot-out.

In the shoot-out, Golmei Gailungpu, P Johnson and Lumguangam Gonmei scored it for KYC while only Heithuingam Gangmei and Steven Kom scored it for IFC.

Ragailong Soccer-XI will play NYC, Namthanlong in the third pre-quarterfinal match tomorrow morning before NKYCL, Naorem play FCN, Neikanlong in the fourth pre-quarterfinal match in the afternoon.
