Imphal, May 20 2025:
The final of the 3rd MNCA Men's U-19 One Day Trophy 2024-25 between RCA (Lilong) and PCC (Mayai Koi-bi) ended in an unfortunate abandonment due to inclement weather, with both teams being declared joint winners.
The match, held on Tuesday at the Model Hr Secondary & Oriental College Ground, saw RCA post a competitive total before rain interrupted PCC's chase.
Winning the toss and opting to bat, RCA posted a competitive 213/9 in their 40 overs, thanks largely to a sparkling innings from Zamir Khan, who crafted a well-paced 71 (83 balls) that included three crisp boundaries and four towering sixes.

He found able support from Md Safwan Ahamed (36 off 51 balls), as the pair steadied the innings after early wobbles.
PCC's reply was led by Boocker Kangujam, whose incisive bowling (5/61 in 8 overs) kept RCA from running away with the game.
His five-wicket haul, including two wickets in a single over, showcased both control and aggression.
Chasing 214 for victory, PCC's innings never gained momentum.
They stumbled to 56/4 in just 11 overs before the skies opened up, forcing the players off.
Zamir Khan, continuing his excellent all-round performance, claimed two key wickets (2/12 in 3 overs), while RCA captain Naesh Hussain chipped in with a wicket of his own.
Ziad Khan's brisk 20 (20 balls) was the lone bright spot in an otherwise faltering PCC innings.
With PCC struggling at 56/4 and the required rate climbing, the rain arrived decisively in the 11th over.
After multiple inspections, umpires M Pratap and N Sanjit Singh, in consultation with match referee Bobby Thoidingjam, had no choice but to abandon play.
Tournament rules, which did not allocate a reserve day for the final, meant the trophy would be shared.
RCA and PCC shared the honours as joint winners, receiving Rs 40,000 each.
