Venues for Manipur University Inter College Tournaments announced

Imphal, September 19 2025: The Department of Sports, Manipur University has announced the venues for different disciplines of the Manipur University Inter College Tournaments for the season 2025-26 beginning from September 22.As per a memorandum issued in this regard, Liberal College, Luwansangbam will host the men and women's Kabaddi tournament from September 22 to 23 while Regional College, Lilong Chajing will host the Archery tournament for both the men and women from September 25 to 26.Meanwhile Shooting tournament will be hosted from October 1 to 2 at Shree Shree Gourgovind Girls' College, Khurai as Judo tournament (men and women) will be held from October 9 to 10 at KP College, Hiyangthang; Wrestling tournament (men and women) from October 13 to 14 at YK College, Wangjing; Yoga tournament (men and women) from October 16 to 17 at Modem College, Porompat; Powerlifting and Weightlifting tournaments (men and women) from October 28 to 29 at Nambol L Sanoi College; men's Football tournament from November 3 at Pole Star College, Hiyanglam.

Men and women's volleyball tournament is meanwhile scheduled to be held from November 6 to 7 at Thoubal College, Thoubal while Table Tennis tournament (men and women) from November 6 to 7 at JCRE Global College, Babupara; Badminton tournament (M&W) from November 9 to 10 at Royal Academy of Law, Oinam; Basketball tournament (M&W) from November 18-19 at Manipur College, Singjamei; Football tournament for women from December 2 to 5 at South East Manipur College, Komlathabi; Men's Best Physique tournament on December 8 at Standard College, Kongba; Chess tournament (men and women) from January 11 to 12 at TS Paul Manipur Women's College, Mongsangei; Handball tournament (men and women) from January 15 to 16 at Biramangol College, Sawombung; Softball tournament (men and women) from January 20 to 21 at Kumbi College, Kumbi; Men's Mukna tournament on January 23 at CI College, Bishnupur and Thang-Ta (men and women) from March 5 to 6 at Manipur University.

The Department of Sports, MU also announced dates for trial selection for preparation of MU teams for different disciplines.

The disciplines and the trial dates are - Fencing (M&W) on September 22, Boxing (M&W) on October 22, Tennis (M) on November 10, Hockey (M&W) on November 14, Athletics (M&W) on November 20, Ball Badminton (M&W) on December 15, Cycling (M&W) on December 19, Taekwondo (M&W) on December 22, Sepak Takraw (M&W) on January 12 and Wushu (M&W) on January 15 .
