YWC-Th thump MUFA 5-2 in Sr Women's Football League

Imphal, May 17 2025: Youth Welfare Club, Thambalkhong (YWC-Th) thrashed Manipur United FA (MUFA) by 5-2 goals in the 14th match of the ongoing 15th AMFA Senior Women's Football League being underway at SAI ground, Takyel.

Thounaojam Martina (27', 29', 38') scored a first half hat-trick for YWC-Th as Leikangbam Russia (61', 65') scored a brace in the second half to set up the big win.

Meanwhile, Thokchom Yaiphabi (43') and Herina Basumatary (46') had scored a goal apiece for MUFA to reduce the margin to 2-3 in the early stage of the second half before Russia put YWC-Th further ahead with a brace.

Later in the day, Eastern Sporting Union (ESU), Wangkhei Palace Compound played out a goalless draw with the Young Welfare Club, Langthabal (YWC-L) .
