Indian Army launches State Level Wushu Championship 2025 at SAI Imphal

Imphal, November 16 2025:
The Red Shield Division of Indian Army launched the State Level Wushu Championship -2025 as part of Operation Sadbhavana today at SAI, Imphal.
The four-day championship aims at promoting sportsmanship and unity among the youth of Manipur, said a press release issued in this regard.
The championship, focused on the ancient martial art of Wushu, brings together talented young athletes from across Manipur, it said.
Indian Army dignitaries, representatives of Wushu Association of India, Sport Authority of India.
Imphal, Manipur Wushu Association and sports enthusiasts gathered to witness the event and support the young athletes who are set to compete in the days ahead.
Commander Senapati Brigade, expressed his enthusiasm about the Championship, highlighting the dedication of the participants and the spirit of competition, it said.
The opening ceremony witnessed a spectacular display of Wushu Sanda & Taolu Demonstration, cultural performance and a parade of participants.
The Indian Army also extended its gratitude to all participants, representatives of Wushu Association of India, Sport Authority of India (Imphal), Manipur Wushu Association and the local community for their support in making this State Level Wushu Championship - 2025 a reality.
