79th I-Day Inter-Department Table Tennis Tournament concludes

Senapati, August 14 2025: The 79th Independence Day Inter Department Table Tennis Tournament, organised by the Senapati district administration at the Mini Secretariat's multipurpose hall, concluded on Thursday.

Deputy commissioner Mamoni Doley, along with district officials, attended the finals of the tournament for both men and women.

The finalists showcased exceptional skill, determination, and sportsmanship throughout the matches.

In the men's category, James Panii, MCS, sub-divisional officer of Lairouching, Chilivai Phaibung, claimed the championship title with a straight-sets victory over Namcharei of the DC Office, winning 2-0 (21-7, 21-16) .

Thehao secured third place in the competition.

In the women's category, Itsa of the DC Office emerged victorious, defeating Vavein-ai of the District Informatics Office (NIC) 2-0 (21-10, 21-13) to clinch the title.

Winners of the 79th Independence Day Inter-Department Table Tennis Tournament will be formally felicitated during the Independence Day celebrations on August 15, 2025 .
