Football Lovers Manipur, Khurai FC win in 3rd Maipakpi Memorial Trophy

Imphal, May 04 2025: Football Lovers Manipur and Khurai FC emerged victorious as WAC held SDO to a 2-2 draw today in the matches of the ongoing 3rd Maipakpi Trophy 2025 at City Club ground, Heirok Litan Makhong.

In the 16th match (Group B) of the tournament, Langamba scored four goals alone to fashion Football Lovers Manipur a 6-0 win over RSFC, Sanjenbam.

Naocha opened the scoring for the team in the 7th minute before Langamba doubled the advantage in the 13th minute.

After leading the first half 2-0, Football Lovers Manipur raced to a 3-0 lead through Malemnganba in the 33rd minute before Langamba returned to action and scored three goals on the trot (34', 36', 36') and completed the 6-0 rout.

In the second match (Group H) of the day, Wekson scored a brace in the second half (28', 29') to salvage a 2-2 draw for WAC, Singjamei with SDO, Singjamei who enjoyed a 2-0 lead through Biken (12', 19') early in the opening half.

In the third match (Group C) of the day, Pritam (11') and Jiteshwor (25') earned Khurai FC a 2-1 win over Sur Hospital FC.

The lone goal for the losing team was scored by Boyai in the 50th minute.
