Imphal, March 02 2013 : The 1st edition of the Lentinlal Haokip Memorial Football Trophy organised in the memory of the late son of IFCD Minister Ngamthang Haokip kicked off today at Songpao Haokip Memorial Playground at Gamnom, Saparmeina.

Education & Civil Supply Minister M Okendro, SDO, Saitu-Gamphazol TD Block N Surjit and MLA Kangpokpi A/C Nemcha Kipgen graced the inaugural function as Chief Guest, President and Guest of Honour respectively.

Minister Okendro kicked off the tournament by hoisting the tournament flag.

Speaking at the occasion, he urged the organiser to form a trust to organise future editions.
