REYS, RCA, CYCLONE, TRAU in SFs of T-20 Trophy

Imphal, June 30 2025:
REYS, Khwai Nagamapal Lamabam Leikai; RCA, Lilong; CYCLONE, Thangmeiband; and TRAU, Kwakeithel stormed to the semi-finals of the 5th MNCA Luwangpokpa T-20 Tro phy 2024-25 after winning their respective quarterfinal matches on Monday.
In a match at Public Ground, Khangabok Part-III, Thoubal, REYS defeated PTCC, Patsoi Part III by 4 wickets.
Put in to bat, PTCC were bundled out for 74 in 12 overs with Hijam Hemachandra Singh (26 runs in 19 balls) being the top-scorer as REYS bowlers Kiran Laishram, Ringku Kangujam and Sapam Bikash Singh claimed three wickets each and Yungkham Romario Roy accounted for one.
Despite, a four-wicket haul by PTCC's Loukrakpam Anao Singh, REYS completed the run chase in 11.3 overs for the loss of six wickets with Nanao Singh Laishram (28 runs in 16 balls) and KKV Mustaque (25 runs in 16 balls) guiding the team to the semi-finals.
Meanwhile, RCA beat RULE, Meitram by four wickets in a rain curtailed quarterfinal at Moijing Public Ground, Thoubal.
RULE could only muster 66/5 in the shortened eight-over match with Jay Singh (22 runs in 21 balls) and Thokchom Kishan Singh (21 runs in 12 balls) being the main contributors, while Aziz Mirza with two wickets was the main bowler for RCA .
In reply, Syed Hussain (35 runs in 18 balls) ensured RCA's victory in 7.2 overs.
Captain Nongthombam Sarojkumar Singh and Jay Singh with two wickets each were the notable bowlers for RULE.
In another rain curtailed match at the same venue, CYCLONE defeated MODEL, Singjamei Chingamakha by 8 wickets.
In the allotted eight overs, MODEL posted 71/7 with Bijenkumar Singh Nongmaithem (20 runs in 7 balls) being the highest scorer.
For Cyclone, Nongthombam Denin, Md Aqeel and Kishan Laishram scalped two wickets each.
CYCLONE cruised to victory courtesy of an unbroken partnership between Kishan Laishram (29 runs 15 balls) and Muhammed Al Bashid (27 runs 19 balls) in 7.1 overs.
On the other hand, Pukhrambam Prafullomani Singh (50 runs 28 balls, not out) helped TRAU trounce CDCC, Sagolband Salam Leikai by 36 runs in another truncated match at Public Ground, Cherapur.
An unbeaten partnership between Prafullomani and Priyojit Kangabam (24 runs in 21 balls) guided TRAU to 85 runs in the eight-over match.
TRAU bowlers led by Somorjit Salam, Mutum Swabhiman, captain Priyojit Kangabam and Puinachandra Sharma Anoubam claimed one wicket each to restrict CDCC to 49/4 .
The semi-final matches will be held on Tuesday with REYS taking on CYCLONE and RCA facing TRAU .
