Bishnupur Dist Veteran Football : ChoUah top VSAI2-0 to seal final berth

Imphal, November 28 2018: Chollah, Sadar Hills cruised into the final of the 1st State Level Bishnupur Veteran Football Trophy 2018 beating VSAI, Thangmeiband by 2-0 goals today in a slightly one sided match.

The tournament is being organised by Bishnupur District Veteran Football Association at Mini Stadium, Bishnupur.

It were Thangminlun and Lamkholen who led Chollah Sadar Hills cruised to a 2-0 win over VSAI, Thangmeiband with a goal each half today.

The game started competitively in the beginning as the winners would make it to the final but it was Chollah which raced ahead with a goal through Thangminlun in the 15th minute.

VSAI tried hard to reply back but Chollah FC defence and midfield were at their best today to deny all sort of threats and maintained a 1-0 lead until first half.

The Sadar Hill side grew stronger after the restart and it was Lamkholen who beat past VSAI keeper to extend the lead to 2-0 in the 57th minute.

Chollah then rested back with the comfortable lead and concentrated more in defending the VSAI charge and ultimately sealed the game 2-0.Th Hegin (45'), Tonghen (53') and Rahamuddin (60') of Chollah were yellow carded by the referee.

BDVFA will face Churachandpur in the second semi-final tomorrow at 1.30 pm.
