156 Bn CRPF host T-20 Cricket Tournament in Mahei Khulen

Jiribam, October 25 2025:
A detachment (Dett) of the 156 Bn CRPF today kickstarted a T-20 Cricket Tournament at a sports complex located at Mahei Khulen (Bidyanagar) under Khelo India initiative in association with the Sports Authority of India.
The opening match of the 12 team tournament was formally opened by SP Jiribam, Prakhar Pandey as chief guest in the presence of Omkar Nath Singh, Commandant -Dett- 156 Bn CRPF; Shiva Rama Krishna, Commandant Dett- 48 Bn CRPF;

Sasindran K, 2nd in Command - 38 Assam Rifles; Rajesh Kumar, 2nd in Command - 20 Bn CRPF; Ravi Shankar Sharma, 2nd in Command - 156 Bn CRPF; Santi Ranjan Mandal, Deputy Commandant - 156 Bn CRPF; Mahesh Chandra Vishwakarma, Asst Commandant 156 Bn CRPF among others.
The opening match of the tournament saw Sonapur Cricket Team beat Jakuradhor Cricket Team by 57 runs.
Sonapur Cricket Team amassed 152 runs for 9 wickets after electing to bat first and bundled out Jakuradhor Team for 96 runs within 17 to seal the commanding win.
The tournament is being organised with the aim of spreading awareness about fitness and promoting peace in the region.
