Manipur reach Sub-Junior Girls' NFC semis with 2-0 win over Delhi

Imphal, August 25 2025: The State eves qualified for the Sub-Junior Girls' National Football Championship Tier I semis with an all win record in the Group B competition.

The girls defeated Delhi by 2-0 goals this evening at Jorhat Stadium in the ultimate group stage match to consolidate pole position.

They had earlier beaten hosts Assam 2-1 and Tamil Nadu 9-0 in the previous matches.

The State girls were up front when Keithellakpam Nandini found the target after 36 minutes before Thoudam Malemnganbi doubled the advantage three minutes into the added time before the break.

Notably, Thoudam Malemnganbi and Ahunwangliu Khengtamei scored to give Manipur a 2-1 win against hosts Assam in the group opener before Keithellakpam Nandini Devi and Thoudam Malemnganbi Devi scored trebles to hand Manipur a 9-0 win against Tamil Nadu in the second league match.
