MSBA condoles demise of L Jogamani

Imphal, January 25 2026: The Manipur State Badminton Association (MSBA) expressed its deepest grief and heartfelt condolences on the demise of Dr Laishram Jogamani Singh.

Jogamani was a former State badminton player and a visionary founder member of the MSBA whose contributions were fundamental to the growth of the sport in the State, said MSBA in a condolence message.

He passed away on January 17 .

To honor his enduring legacy, a condolence meeting was held at the association premises in the attendance of Th Biswajit Singh, president MSBA, who led the proceedings, all executive members of the association, playing members and the wider badminton community, it said.

During the gathering, the assembly observed a two-minute silence as a mark of respect to the departed soul.

Speakers also highlighted Dr Jogamani's dedication to the sport and his role in establishing a foundation for future generations of athletes in Manipur, it said.

The MSBA stands in solidarity with the bereaved family during this difficult time, it said while praying that his soul may rest in eternal peace.
