Bob Khathing Memorial Football Tournament: Stage set for semifinals

Senapati, January 24 2026: The semi-final line up of the Bob Khathing Memorial Football Tournament, 2026 being underway at Astro Turf Ground, Senapati have have been completed.

Menson FC will play against Sadar Hills FC in the first semi-final match from 11 am on January 27 before Kuki Rising FA take on Ngairei FC in the second semifinal match from 1 pm.

Menson FC reached the semifinals with a 2-1 win over Asufii FA in the first quarterfinal match before Kuki Rising FA knocked out Football 4 Change by 2-0 goals in the second quarterfinal match.

In the third quarterfinal match, Sadar Hills FC notched up a 3-0 win over Sakol FC before Ngairei FC defeated Hills Academy 5-2 in the last quarterfinal match.

The semi-final losers will fight it out for the third place match on January 28 before the final match and closing ceremony on January 29 at the same venue.

Notably, the tournament carries a cash prize of Rs 1,50,000 for the winners; Rs 75,000 for the runners up and Rs 50,000 for the third place team.

The tournament is organised under the aegis of the Red Shield Division of Spear Corps, Indian Army as a mark of respect and tribute to Major (Late) Bob Khathing, MC, MBE - an illustrious soldier, visionary administrator and a distinguished son of Manipur.
