State Level Volleyball Tournament : Stage set for senior men and sub-junior boys' quarterfinals

Imphal, September 22 2025: he quarterfinal line up of the ongoing 49th Senior Men's and 24th Sub-Junior Boys' State Level Volleyball Tournaments were completed today with the end of league stage.

AMIMYDO will play NSU in the first quarterfinal match of the 22-team tournament tomorrow morning before MPSC take on NYVA; YMDO play DVA and SSC face HVA in the following quarterfinal matches.

The semi-finals will be held later in the day.

The third day of the senior men's tournament saw AMIMYDO, Mayang Imphal; NYVA, Naorem; MPSC; YMDO, Heirangoithong and DVA, Thoubal all seal two victories each to bolster their quarterfinal hopes.

IGO, Oinam and KDVA, Kakching also registered two wins but failed to make it to the quarterfinals.

In the Group A matches, AMIMYDO thumped UNT 25-17, 25-18 for the first win of the day before beating MRC 25-8, 25-16 for the second win.

Meanwhile, NYVA defeated MRC 25-14, 25-15 before beating TNVSA 25-19, 25-23 .

UNT meanwhile defeated TNVSA 17-25, 25-22, 15-13 .

In the Group B matches, MPSC defeated TYWC 25-15, 25-05 before HVA defeated PASI 18-25, 25-21, 15-9; MPSC defeated HVA 30-28, 25-23; IGO beat TYWC 22-25, 25-21, 15-12; and IGO beat PASI 25-22, 19-25, 15-13 .

In Group C matches, YDMO defeated SDVA 25-15, 25-21; YPC thumped TRYVC 27-25, 25-21; YMDO beat EAGLE 25-20, 25-15 and NSU beat SDVA 25-17, 25-20 .

In Group D matches, DVA beat KDVA 25-21, 25-21 before SSC beat NDVA 25-12, 25-17; KDVA beat BYCL 25-16, 25-22 .

Sub-Junior Boys

AMIMYDO will play DVA in the first quarterfinal match before YPC play NYVA, UNT play DVA and HVA meet PASI in the following quarterfinal matches.

The day saw PVA, Pourabi beat SUWC, Irengbam 25-20, 25-19 in a Group D match before AMIMYDO, Mayang Imphal beat PRSC, Pourabi 25-22, 26-24 for their second Group A win; NYVA, Naorem beat AAVA, Andro 25-19, 25-22 in a Group C match and YPC, Ishok beat SEWA, Nachou 25-19, 26-24 for their second Group B victory.
