ESC-A, TDPA, KDPA triumph in 38th N Hazari and Dr N Tombi State Polo Tournament

Imphal, October 20 2025: Eastern Students Club (ESC)-A; Thoubal District Polo Association (TDPA) and Kakching District Polo Association (KDPA) emerged victorious in today's matches of the 38th N Hazari and Dr N Tombi State Polo Tournament 2025 being underway at Mapal Kangjeibung.

ESC-A overwhelmed Universal Polo Club by 16-1 goals thanks to L Thomsan's haul of 7 goals across the first three chukkers.

A Lamyanba and S Dollar also struck four goals apiece for ESC-A as K Samananda added one.

It was a lopsided encounter as ESC led the first chukker 3-1 before cruising to a 9-0 lead at halfway mark before M Thouba scored the only goal for Universal Polo Club in the third chukker to make it 1-12.Lamyanba and S Dollar then scored two goals apiece in the final chukker to make it 16-1 .

In the second match of the day, TDPA crushed Kumbi Pony Care Center by 12-2 goals courtesy of goals from Y Dijen (5 goals), Thounaojam Pamheiba (4 goals), M Anildas (1 goal), N Kirankumar (1 goal) and Nitishkumar (1 goal).

Md Basir scored both the goals for the Kumbi side.

In the third match, Kh Tombi scored thrice to set up KDPA a 6-3 win over New Vision Polo Club.

M Thoithoiba also scored twice for the winners as H Momo chipped in one goal.

For the losing side, L Lickson scored the three goals, 2 in the second chukker and the other in the final chukker.

As many as 38 teams are participating in this edition of the tournament.
