Manipur Olympic Assn to seek Hockey India's intervention

Imphal, August 20 2025: The Manipur Olympic Association (MOA) has decided to seek Hockey India's intervention to resolve the dispute between two bodies over control of hockey in the State.

MOA, in a press release, said that an emergency meeting of the association was convened this afternoon at the meeting hall of the association and discussed at length the press statement of Hockey Manipur.

Following the meeting, the MOA resolved to communicate with Hockey India to ensure justice and fair play for the promotion of hockey in Manipur, it said.

The association aims to facilitate smooth functioning of its units and ensure Manipur's participation in National and regional games, it said while expressing confidence that Hockey India will resolve the matter promptly in the best interest of sportspersons.
