Five advance to second round in 6th Jr Girls Nat'l Boxing C'ship

Imphal, June 20 2025: As many as five State girls have advanced to the second round in 6th Junior Girls National Boxing Championship being underway at SAI NBA Rohtak, Haryana.

Lamaeilu Gangmei boxed her way to the second round with a 3-2 split decision against Chandigarh's Niti in the first round of the girls' 46-48 kg category as Heikham Riya sealed a commanding 4-1 win over Priyanshai Sengar of Madhya Pradesh in the girls' 48-50 kg category competition.

Longjam Radhamani in the meantime had an RSC win over Angelina Murvani of Andhra Pradesh in the girls 54-57 kg category competition while Naorem Artina beat Rake Yania of Arunachal Pradesh via 5-0 unanimous decision in the 57-60 kg category competition to seal their next round berth.

Competing in the 60-63 kg category, Thoudam Daina Devi made her way to the second round beating Kashish of Himachal Pradesh 5-0 .
