10 teams in fray for 49th Senior Men's Volleyball Tournament title

Imphal, September 19 2025: The 49th edition of the Senior Men's Volleyball Tournament began today with 22 teams clubbed into two groups vying for the top honour at Khuman Lampak Sports Complex.

The opening day of the tournament saw the completion of as many as 10 matches.

In the opening match, TRYVC beat EAGLE by 2-1 sets (25-23, 23-25, 15-13) before DVA beat BYCL in straight sets (25-12, 25-14) in the second match.

YMDO, Heirangoithong in the meantime got the better of NSU by 2-1 sets (15-25, 25-14, 15-11) in the third match before SSC beat SLYSA in straight sets (25-21, 25-21) in the fourth match.

Later in the fifth match, SDVA beat YPC by 2-1 sets (20-25, 25-21, 15-12) before NDVA beat KDVA 25-27, 25-22, 16-14 and AMIMYDO beat NYVA 25-13, 25-21 in the 6th and the 7th matches.

In the 8th match, MPSC beat PASI 25-15, 25-20 before UNT beat MRC 25-10, 25-15 and HVA beat TYWC 25-15, 25-20 in the 9th and the 10th matches.
