39th Men's State Level Polo Tournament : X-Polo Club set up semi-final date with MPSC-A

Imphal, January 16 2026: MPSC-A knocked out AR Polo Team-A 8-2 as X-Polo Club outlasted Tentha Polo Club 7-5 to set up a semi-final date in the 39th Men's State Level Polo Tournament being underway at Mapal Kangjeibung.

In the first quarterfinal match of the 34-team tournament organised in the knock-out format, MPSC-A rode on S Bimol's brilliant riding and scoring skill to see off AR Polo Team-A .

S Bimol handed MPSC-A a narrow 1-0 first chukker lead before scoring another in the second chukker to earn a 3-1 lead.

His compatriot Th Ranjit scored the team's third goal in the second chukker that saw Naoba scoring one for AR Polo team just 43 seconds into the chukker.

S Bimol scored two more goals in the following chukker to complete his haul of 4 goals while O Suresh scored one to further extend the lead to 6-1 .

S Abungcha and O Suresh contributed a goal apiece in the final chukker to set up the 8-2 win veor MPSC-A after Premananda scored the team's second and final goal in the 2nd minute of the chukker.

Later in the keenly contested quarterfinal match, L Atangba scored twice in the first chukker while Th Jacob scored twice in the second chukker, one in the third chukker and another two goals in the fourth chukker to seal the 7-5 win over X-Polo Club.

O Sadananda meanwhile added one in the second chukker for Tentha Polo Club before P Bikash scored twice in the third chukker to make it 3-5 .

M Abhigyan and S Sadananda then scored a goal apiece in the fourth chukker to make the final scoreline read 5-7 .
