AFA secure gritty 1-0 victory over UCFC in 2nd PL clash

Imphal, July 13 2025: Asufii FA ground out a 1-0 win over United Chandel FC in a closely fought 2nd Premier League clash on Sunday at Artificial Turf Ground, Lamlong Thongkhong.

The match's defining moment arrived in the 28th minute, when midfielder P Sorormi Thingsang broke through a resolute defence to slot home what would prove the decisive goal.

Despite sustained pressure from both sides in the second half, neither could find the net, leaving Thingsang's first-half strike as the difference-maker.

The result sees Asufii FA claim a crucial three points, while United Chandel FC will rue their missed opportunities in a game that could have gone either way.

The defensive resilience of Asufii FA ultimately proved the difference in a match that showcased both determination and tactical discipline.
