Athokpam Bike fastest in CRPF's 10 km cycling event

Imphal, September 09 2026: Athokpam Bike was the fastest in 10 km cycling event organised by the 86 Bn CRPF Lamphelpat under Sports for Peace and Development Across the Nation initiative.

The event organised under the aegis of the IG Manipur and Nagaland Sector CRPF and under the supervision of Saurabh Kumar Choudhary, Commandant 86 Bn saw a healthy participation of 94 cyclists.

In the event that was flagged off from Kangla Western Gate, the participants covered stretches along 1st Mr Junction, Keishampat Junction, Kwakeithel Bazar, Imphal College, Punya Honda Showroom before returning on the other side of the stretch towards the starting point.

Athokpam Bike, Thounaojam Gyananta and Angom Yaiphaba made top three finishes in the event and were feted a cash prize of Rs 10,000; Rs 6,000 and Rs 4,000 respectively in the presence of distinguished dignitaries of the day- Padmashri N Kunjarani Devi; Saurabh Kumar Choudhary, Commandant 86 Bn CRPF; Dr Florence Dangmei, CMO, 86 Bn CRPF .

The youngest and senior most cyclists were also feted at the occasion, said 2I/C of 86 Bn CRPF, in a press release.
