143 Bn, 86 Bn CRPF line up sporting events

Imphal, September 07 2026: The 143 Bn CRPF, under the aegis of the Manipur and Nagaland Sector CRPF, is organising Cricket and Kabaddi Tournaments is association with SAI under Khelo India's SPANDAN initiative.

The Cricket Tournament will be held from September 9 to 12 while the Kabaddi Tournament will be held from September 14 to 15, said the Comdt of the Bn in a press release.

Both the events will be held at Takyel SAI Sports Complex, it said while adding that registration can be done free online or offline.

The Cricket tournament carries a cash prize of Rs 12,000; Rs 8,000 and Rs 5,000 for the podium finishes while the Kabaddi tournament carries a cash prize of Rs 10,000; Rs 6,000 and Rs 4,000 for the top three finishers besides medals and certificates.

The 86 Bn CRPF, meanwhile, is set to conduct a 10 km Cycling event on September 9 in Imphal and a football tournament from September 11 to 14 at Noney.

The cycling event, to be flagged off from Kangla Western Gate, will see participants head to 1st Mr Junction (Nityaipat Chuthek)- Kwakeithel Bazar, Imphal College - Punya Honda Showroom (turning point)- Little Flower School- Kwakeithel Bazar- Keishampat Junction, Lok Bhawan Gate before culminating at the starting point.

The podium finishers in both the cycling event and football tournament will be feted with a cash prize of Rs 10,000; Rs 6,000 and Rs 4,000 respectively, said 2nd IC, 86 Bn CRPF, Lamphelpat in a press release.

Through the events, 86 Bn CRPF seeks to promote a culture of physical fitness, healthy living and active community participation, it said while urging all to participate in the events enthusiastically and make the events a grand success.
