B Nimi and Th Leima in National team for Asian Benchpress C'ship

Imphal, August 06 2025: Manipur's Brahmacharimayum Nimi and Thangjam Leima are all set to represent India at the Asian Equipped and Classic Benchpress Championship 2025 scheduled to be held in Hong Kong from October 8 to 12 .

Brahmacharimayum Nimi is the daughter of B Hemchand and B Memcha of Keishamthong Elangbam Leikai while Thangjam Leima is the daughter of Th Ibopishak and Rashi Leima of Irilbung Kalika, said the All Manipur Powerlifting Association (AMPLA) in a press note.

Nimi will compete in the junior women's 69 kg category while Leima will compete in the senior women's 76 kg category competition, AMPLA said while expressing happiness over their selection in the National team.
