Manipur Armwrestling Association team bag 10 medals at Armwrestling Nationals

Imphal, July 06 2025: The Manipur Armwrestling Association team won 10 medals including 3 gold, 2 silver and 5 bronze medals at the National Armwrestling and Para Armwrestling Championship 2025 held in Thrissur, Kerala from June 28 to July 2 .

RK Ajhaljit bagged two gold medals at the championship finishing atop in 65 kg left hand event for both the senior and junior categories as Nicholas Thounaojam won the 70 kg left hand gold and a silver medal in the junior and senior categories.

Moirangthem Malemnganba won the other silver medal in the left hand event for the sub-junior boys' 65 kg category.

Mayanglambam Lanchenbi, competing in the sub-junior girls' 50 kg category, won bronze medals in both left and right hand competitions, as Warepam Tejmani (sub-junior boys' 55 kg- right hand), Amom Lankhomba (sub-junior boys' 65 kg-right hand) and Shyamkeshor Kumam (Grandmaster 70kg-left hand) bagged a bronze medal each.

The team will be accorded a warm reception on July 12 at Educational Guide Centre (EGC) complex, Singjamei Parking from 3 pm, said the Manipur Armwrestling Association in a press release.
