3rd MNCA U-19 Women's One Day Trophy : AKSDO storm into semi-final with 148-run thrashing of PTRC

Imphal, May 02 2025: AKSDO, Khangabok crushed PTRC, Patsoi by 148 runs to finish Group B league campaign in the 3rd MNCA U-19 Women's One Day Trophy unbeaten and seal their place in the semi-final.

Rabina Khundrakpam was instrumental in AKSDO's commanding third straight win at Kongba Dhobi Lampak as she ran through PTRC line up and returned with the best bowling figures of 5/2 in her spell of 3 overs.

AKSDO, after opting to bat first, erected 160/9 in the allotted 35 overs as Khundrakpam Bijiya added 58-ball 46 followed by Ningthoujam Taniya 27 off 36 and Thokchom Alish 25 off 28.Chasing 161 for the victory, PTRC had their worst ever chase losing all the wickets within 7.5 overs with the scoreboard reading just 12 .

Laishram Linthoingambi (3/32) and Laitonjam Alina (2/27) had earlier shared 5 wickets for PTRC but they had the forgettable chase with Rabina and Kh Bijiya (2/3) combining well to dismiss them with ease.

As many as 7 batters of PTRC departed on duck as Laitonjam Benita on 5 emerged the highest run scorer for the team.

Rabina was eventually adjudged player of the match.

With the win, AKSDO finished the league campaign on 7 points from 3 matches and an abandoned match against TCMDC .

PTCC end two game losing run Elsewhere at THAU ground, PTCC, Patsoi ended their two game losing run in the Group A competition by beating YPHUC, Lalambung by 7 wickets.

PTCC opted to field first and restricted YPHUC to 81/6 in the allotted 30 overs thanks to Khundrakpam Anjali's leading bowling performance (4/14 in 6 overs) before Lourembam Prena 42 off 46 and Khundrakpam Angoubi 19 off 19 played key role in leading PTCC to the target in 14 overs with 7 wickets left to spare.

Loktongbam Terina 32 off 48 and Charoibam Joyshree 15 off 67 were the only double digit scorers for YPHUC as Joyshree, M Divika and Eriklembi Soubam picked a wicket apiece in a lost cause.

Kh Anjali who starred with the ball was adjudged player of the match.
