HIDSAM Sports Meet: DSA Chandel win men's football title

Ukhrul, October 31 2025: DSA Chandel won the men's football title while hosts Ukhrul District Sports Association (UDSA) settle for women's volleyball title as the 7th Hill Districts Sports Association Manipur (HIDSAM) sports meet concluded in Ukhrul today.

Kenphashah scored twice (55',70'P) including a penalty to earn DSA Chandel a 2-1 final victory against hosts UDSA today to lift the men's football trophy and walk away Rs 2,00,000 richer.

Yami Longvah scored the consolation goal late in the 89th minute.

DSA Chandel swept the individual prizes as Kenphashah emerged top scorer; Wrinkle was declared man of the tournament; Shedngam was declared best defender and Bungring was declared best goalkeeper.

Yami Longvah was meanwhile feted with the best midfielder prize as DSA Tamenglong were declared best discipline team.

Meanwhile, UDSA beat DSA Senapati by 3-2 sets in a keenly contested women's volleyball final clash.

Runreichon of UDSA and Ruby of DSA Senapati were named best spiker and best player respectively and were feted alongside the winners and runners up teams during the valedictory function.
