Meet underway for successful conduct of 1st District Olympic Games

Thoubal, August 28 2025: In view of the planned District Olympic Games-2025-26 and following the formation of the organising committee, in depth discussion for successful and meaningful conduct of the event got underway in the presence of all stakeholders.

The discussion programme was held today at the conference hall of the ZEO Zone III with Thoubal DC Hannah Kahmeiin the chair.

Members of the organising committees, sub-committees, representatives of the district sports associations, district administration also attended the programme.

Notably, District Olympic Association Thoubal under the aegis of the Manipur Olympic Association is all set to host the district level games from September 24 to 28 at different venues across the district with the assistance of District Youth Affairs and Sports Office, various departments and sports bodies.

The game will bring together around 2000 athletes representing Government Departments, Educational Institutes, and local clubs and organisations who will compete for top honours in 20 disciplines.

The programme not only discussed on how to effectively organise the event also also decided the venues for different disciplines.
