Manipur men and women teams reach National Championship Regu semifinals

Imphal, October 25 2025: Manipur men and women teams have booked their places in the semifinals of the Regu competition of the ongoing 35th Senior National Sepaktakraw Championship 2025 at Manohar Parrikar Indoor Stadium, Madgaon, Goa.

Manipur women reached the regu semifinals with a 2-0 win (15-5, 15-8) over Uttar Pradesh in the quarterfinals today.

Earlier in the league round, Manipur women's team opened their campaign with a 2-0 win over Kerala before securing similar victories against Chandigarh, Karnataka, Odisha and Goa in the following matches.

They will play Nagaland in the semifinals.

Meanwhile, the State men's team set up a semifinal date with AIPSCB following a 15-13, 15-11 quarterfinal win over Nagaland.

Earlier in the league round, Manipur defeated Chhattisgarh, Puducherry, Haryana, Gujarat and Kerala in straight sets before beating Assam by 2-1 sets in the concluding match.
