Imphal, February 23 2026: United Peoples' Front (UPF), Manipur is set to host the 14th edition of the Mega Manipur Marathon on April 12 on the theme " Run for your Nation, Run for your Motherland" .

This was announced by Nongthombam Rupachandra, president of UPF at a press meet held at Keishampat office of the front today.

He said that the marathon, which has been an annual event since 2007, will be held this year on April 12 .

The distance run will be launched from Khuman Lampak Sports Complex at 7 am, he said while adding that it will be open to men and women, with separate categories for each.

Top three athletes in both the categories will receive a cash prize of Rs 40,000; Rs 30,000; and Rs 20,000 each besides certificates and mementoes, he said.

He also stated that those who make it to the 4th to 15th positions will also be feted with a cash prize of Rs 3,000 each along with certificates and mementoes.
