MU Inter College Kabaddi Tournaments begin

Imphal, September 22 2025: The Manipur University Inter College Kabaddi tournaments for men and women began today at the indoor hall of Liberal College, Luwangsangbam.

8 men's teams and 6 women's teams representing different colleges affiliated to Manipur University are taking part in the tournaments hosted by Liberal College in the knock-out format.

The opening day saw Mayai Lambi College, Kumbi College, Liberal College and Lilong Haoreibi College progressing into the men's semi-finals while Lilong Haoreibi College and Mayai Lambi College eased into the women's semis.

Men's result

Mayai Lambi College defeated Moirang College by 48-18 points as Kumbi College defeated Manipur University by 51-7 points.

In the third match, Liberal College defeated JCRE Global College by 39-13 points before Lilong Haoreibi College outlasted Biramangol College by 48-5 points.

Mayai Lambi College will play Kumbi College in tne first semi-final match tomorrow before Liberal College take on Lilong Haoreibi College in the second semifinal match.

Women's result

Lilong Haoreibi College got the better of Waikhom Mani Girls' College by 51-23 points to set up a semi-final date with Pole Star College before Mayai Lambi College eased to a 34-8 victory against Manipur University and set up a semi-final date with SK Women's College.
