Imphal, February 22 2025: KCC, Kongba beat YUCC, Kwakeithel by 7 wickets to keep their quarterfinal hopes alive as UCC ended their two game losing run in the ongoing 12th Manipur Veteran T-20 Cricket Tournament.

KCC sealed their second Group C win in three matches thanks to Bonny's leading performance in the chase as he added highest 48 to steer KCC to winning 129/3 in 16.4 overs after YUCC posted 128/8 thanks to Noushad's unbeaten 59 .

S Robertson 2/19, S Sanjoy 1/22 and Devan 1/24 were among the wickets for KCC before N Devkanta 20 and Th Tomba 36 not out too contributed well in the chase.

For YUCC, Bidison, Khalique and Nishi picked a wicket apiece.

Bonny was eventually adjudged player of the match.

Meanwhile, UCC ended their two game losing streak in the Group B competition by handing BSC-B a 68-run defeat.

Asked to bat first, UCC rode on Roman Soram's 99 and A Ramesh's 25 to pile up 202/9 before restricting BSC-B to 134/7 in response.

Bidyananda (3/27), Purnanda (3/24) and A Johnson (2/22) shared 8 crucial wickets for BSC-B before Aribam Johnson 31 and Purnanda 20 led the scoring in the chase.

L Jugalkishore (2/24), Khaba (1/14) and A Ashnikumar (1/26) shared four wickets for UCC.

Roman Soram who quickfired 99 off 40 balls was adjudged player of the match.
