Damjol YC emerge Chandel 1st Division Football champions

Imphal, September 18 2025: Damjol YC beat Japhou YC by 4-3 goals on penalties after a goalless draw in the regulation time to seal the title of the DC Chandel Trophy 1st Division Football title yesterday.

Japhou YC and Damyol YC made a cautious start and held off one another till the end of the regulation time to stretch the game to a penalty shoot-out.

In the thriller shootout, only Oliver, Strongam, Motilal found the target as Anthony, Goulen, Rengtinson and Joyngam made the most of their chances to seal the 4-3 win despite Darwar's shot failing to find the target.

Earlier in the semi-finals, Damjol YC beat Chakpikarong YC 1-0 after Japhou YC blanked Chandel Christian YC 5-0 to complete the final line up .
