State boxers eye glory at Jr National C'ships in Rohtak

Imphal, June 18 2025: Manipur's 12-member junior squad, competing at the 6th Junior Boys' National Boxing Championships 2025, arrived in Rohtak, Haryana, on Wednesday.

The state team will vie for glory across various weight categories.

The draw was conducted on Wednesday, with the bouts set to commence from Thursday.

The tournament will run until June 25 at the SAI NBA in Rohtak, Haryana.

Representing Manipur are Usham Thouna Luwang (46kg), Lairenlakpam Ambekar Meetei (48kg), Moibungkhongbam Lanchenba Singh (50kg), Thongram Manithoiba Meitei (52kg), Salam Diamond Singh (54kg), Karung Albertson Kom (57kg), Khaidem Lanchenba Meitei (60kg), Khundom Lanchenba Meetei (63kg), Samom Punshiba Singh (66kg), Leimapokpam Mahesh Singh (70kg), Vikash Sorokhaibam (75kg), and Yubraj Angom (+80kg).The team is being guided by coaches Y Priyokumar and Gyanendra Sharma.
