47th State Level Senior Handball Tournament: MPSC cruise into women's semis with 22-7 win against SSC

Imphal, May 18 2025: MPSC completed league stage sweep in the 47th State Level Senior Women's Group A competition with a comprehensive 22-7 win against SSC, Khurai to storm into the semi-finals today.

The tournament is hosted by KKLYDO at Kongpal Kongkham Leikai ground under the supervision of the Manipur Handball Association.

In their final league match, MPSC sealed the huge win thanks to M Dimple who added 9 goals alone while Ksh Apabi added 4 goals.

N Sunibala and N Sushilla also added 3 goals apiece for MPSC as Ng Khomeiton (2) and N Babina (1) shared 3 goals.

For SSC, N Rabia and N Taibangsatpi scored three goals apiece while H Pinky added one.

In Group B matches of the women's competition, IMC, Thoubal notched up a 25-14 win over ESU courtesy of leading scoring performances from Th Anjubala (10) and I Ronibala (6) while YLK, Chingarel Tejpur beat KKLYDO 14-9 courtesy of major contributions from L Nomika (7) and N Aliya (3).The day also saw MPSC men's team completing Group B league stage domination by beating OYO, Kongpal by 28-14 goals for the third win before defeating NSU by 26-17 goals for the fourth and final win.

N Saratchandra (9) and L Hemanta (6) led the scoring for MPSC in the third win against OYO as N Gobin and Becker Roy added 3 goals apiece and H Inaocha, H Premchandra and Y Sushil added two goals each.

For OYO, Ksh Premchandra scored five goals as Ksh General, Th Lucky and L Lamjingba added two goals apiece.

Ingocha (5), Th Robi (4) and Y Becker Roy (4) meanwhile led the scoring later in the day as N Goba and Th Hemanta scored three goals apiece.

Richard (7), Premraj (3), Bhisma (2) and Imtiaz (2) in the meantime led the scoring for NSU .

In another Group B match, YWO beat OYO by 24-23 goals.

In a Group A match staged earlier, KVWA crushed KKLYDO by 21-7 goals thanks to huge contributions from A Premson (5), Sh Roshan (4) and Sh Roshikant (4) .

N Punaraj (2) and M Leishemba (2) in the meantime led the scoring for KKLYDO.

In another Group A match, YLK thumped KKLYDO 26-11 as A Bikramjit and N Adison scored 7 goals apiece and L Hemba added 6 .
