2nd Premier League : ASUFII FA win 2-0 against United Chandel FC

Imphal, May 16 2025: ASUFII FA, Mao thumped United Chandel FC (UCFC) by 2-0 goals for the second win in the 2nd Premier League Group B this afternoon at Artificial Turf Ground, Lamlong Thongkhong.

UCFC, who were unbeaten in two games, and ASUFII FA who had registered a win and a draw in the last three games, started cautiously and entered into the break goalless.

ASUFII FA however put in inore effort after the restart and ended the goal drought in the 67th minute courtesy of Laishram Suraj before Wangkheirakpam John who subbed in for Samson in the first half doubled the advantage two minutes away from time.

UCFC put in frantic efforts to reduce the margin but time ran out quickly.

FC Raengdai, Noney will play IYFC, Imphal in the next match (Group A) tomorrow from 12.30 pm before KTYC, Kshetri Awang Leikai take on NISA, Thangmeiband later in the day (Group B) .
