Senior Women's T20 Trophy: Manipur go down by 8 wickets to Nagaland

Imphal, October 15 2025: Manipur suffered an 8-wicket loss to Nagaland to cap the Senior Women's T20 Trophy Plate Group campaign winless.

Manipur who went down by 7 wickets to Sikkim in the previous match won the toss at MBB Stadium, Agartala and posted a lowly total of 74 runs for 9 wickets after electing to bat first.

Nagaland then chased down the target in 14.5 overs with 8 wickets left to spare.

For Manipur, K Ranjita 14, Th Niruta 16 and Teresa 12 not out were the only double digit run getters as PS Nimavat 2/11, Vipeni 2/7 and Talirenla 2/4 shared 6 wickets and Pushpa K 1/5, Limatola 1/17, and Sentilemla 1/10 chipped in with a wicket apiece for Sikkim.

In reply, AK Watade 37 not out off 39 balls (5 fours) and Pushpa K 18 not out off 15 balls (3 fours) produced an unbeaten third wicket partnership of 32 runs to seal the victory with 8 wickets left in the hand.

Thoudam Niruta claimed both the wickets in this innings to finish with the bowling figures of 2/14 .
