Imphal, October 16 2026:
Advocating peaceful coexistence, Mayang Imphal AC MLA Kongkham Robindro has stated that the Central leadership in New Delhi alone will not be able to resolve the protracted crisis in Manipur.
Addressing a Seva Sankalp Abhiyan held at Khuman Multipurpose Community Hall at Mayang Imphal Thana Awang Leikai as chief guest today, the MLA added that the crisis plaguing Manipur can be resolved only when every Manipuri stands together as one.
Manipur is home to different communities, he said, appealing to the people to set aside their differences and work towards peace.
Stating that every Manipuri wants peace and normalcy to be restored in the State, Robindro reiterated that the leadership in New Delhi alone would not be able to resolve the crisis and urged the people of the State to understand this.
He claimed that some sections of people, however, want to keep Manipur in a perpetual state of unrest for personal gain.
Stating that the Government has been gradually working towards a lasting solution to the crisis by reaching out to people from different communities, he sought public support in the endeavour.
Imphal West Deputy Commissioner Mayanglambam Rajkumar was the functional president.
