Imphal, May 10 2026: Keishamthong FC emerged as the champions of the 24th Challenge Cup Veteran Football Tournament 2026 organised by the Manipur Veteran Football Association at SAI NERC natural grass football ground.

Keishamthong FC overwhelmed EMFC, Lamlai by 4-1 goals to seal the title of the 14-team tournament thanks to doubles from M Sanjit Kumar and Y Sova.

In the one sided final encounter, M Sanjit opened the scoring in the 8th minute before Y Sova doubled the advantage in the 12th minute.

EMFC pulled back a goal in the 27th minute with M Bimolchand making no mistake in converting a penalty to make it 1-2 till the break before M Sanjit (38') and Y Sova (51') took their turns to add a goal apiece in the second half to complete the 4-1 rout.

Earlier in the day, AFFC, Imphal crushed Thangmeiband FC 6-0 to claim the third place title.

H Noren took centre-stage as he netted thrice (6', 11', 21') while P Romen (8'), Ksh Kanta (15'), and S Jiban (19') contributed a goal apiece to set up the comprehensive win as Thangmeiband FC failed to come up response.
