Kakching 1st Divn Football: UBSA win 3-2 over KYWAC, go atop Group A temporarily

Imphal, October 09 2025: UBSA, Mantak sealed a hard fought 3-2 win over KYWAC, Wabagai to finish 21st KK Memorial 1 st Division Football League Group A campaign unbeaten and temporarily go top of the table on 11 points.

KYWAC, who were also unbeaten in previous four games, enjoyed a 2-1 lead till half time before UBSA resurged in the second half and completed the turnaround courtesy of Leivon Joseph this afternoon.

Sunesh scored early in the 3rd minute to put KYWAC ahead but Singneichung helped UBSA remain in the contention by scoring the equaliser in the 21st minute.

KYWAC retained the lead four minutes into the added time of the opening half as Yaiphaba found the target but Leivon Joseph pulled level for UBSA in the 73rd minute before scoring the winner two minutes later.

With the win, UBSA go top on 11 points (3 wins and 2 draws).

PFC, Tokpaching are the other team in the contention for the Group A table toppers as they have won twice and drawn twice in their four matches and their final league match against WALYDA will decide their fate.

In the other Group A match of the day, WALYDA and KFC played out a goalless draw.
