Leikhomba, Velena secure Powerlifting gold medals

Imphal, January 08 2026: M Leikhomba and Kayenpaibam Velena clinched gold medals as Maibam Gulabi bagged a silver medal at the 34th National Classic and Equipped Benchpress Championships being underway in Faridabad, Haryana.

Leikhomba bagged the gold medal in the sub-junior men's -66 kg category classic competition with a 127.5 kg lift.

K Velena meanwhile secure the other gold medal in the junior women's -43 kg category classic event with a 50 kg lift.

Gulabi on the other hand secured the silver medal in the junior women's -52 kg category classic event with a 57.5 kg lift.
