Kangpokpi, September 06 2022: Substitute Ginlal's winning goal gave Symropia FC a 2-1 win over Manipur Terrier while YOSC-Khurai and Sagolband United played out a goalless draw in the ongoing Len and Sang Trophy 2022 today.

The first half of the group C encounter between MSL team Symropia and Manipur Terrier Imphal ended in a goalless draw despite both teams struggling to find an opener.

However, Churachandpur's side had a brilliant comeback in the second half to break the deadlock after Lalremsiem found the opener in the 65th minute.

But, the Army team unleashed strong pressure on the Churachandpur side to find an early equalizer through Th Premchand Singh's 71st-minute goal, who now has seven goals in his boot in the tournament.

Symropia's official made a perfect change after Manipur Terrier's equalizer and sent in substitute Ginlal who found the winning goal in the 75th minute to help the Churachandpur side a narrow 2-1 win over the army team.

The group D encounter between the AMFA Cup team Youth Organization Sporting Club (YOSC) Khurai and the MSL League team, Sagolband United ended in a goalless draw.

YOSC Khurai's custodian Usham Robertson Singh's multiple produced brilliant saves to help his team hold the MSL team to a goalless draw.

The MSL team Sagolband United had multiple chances through its playmaker, Subhash, a former ISL player, but were denied by the strong defensive line and the brilliant custodian of YOSC Khurai, Usham Robertson Singh.

YOSC Khurai also got a few chances to score but could not convert them.

Tomorrow, Saikotjang Youth Club will play AMFA Cup team Kuki Sporting Club in a group A encounter in the first match while Gorkha XI Manipur will take on Taphou Football in a group D encounter in the second match.
