IW 1st Divn Football: YAC hold KYC as SJC thump SKYC 2-0

Imphal, October 04 2025: YAC, Yaiskul held KYC, Khurkhul to a 1-1 draw as SJC, Sangaithel Road thumped SKYC, Awang Sekmai 2-0 in the ongoing 30th L Sangita Devi Memorial 1st Division Football at PAMYAL ground, Patsoi this afternoon.

In the 7th match of the tournament, KYC and YAC entered into the break before I Arjun broke the deadlock in the 71st minute.

The lead was however cancelled out when N Niranjoy hit the equaliser for KYC in the 79th minute.

The two sides fought hard to find the winner but their efforts did not materialise forcing them to split a point apiece.

Later in the 8th match, I Indrajit scored twice to hand SJC a 2-0 win against SKYC and extend their winning run to two games.

Indrajit opened the scoring early in the 6th minute before completing his brace in the 53rd minute.
