More CRPF Battalions to host 10 km runs, cycling events

Imphal, September 02 2026: More CRPF Battalions are also set to conduct 10 km runs under the Khelo India's Sports for Peace and Development Across Nation (SPANDAN) initiative under the aegis of the IG Manipur and Nagaland Sector CRPF.

The 158 Bn CRPF is planning to host three such runs on September 5 at Khurkhul and Senjam Chirang; on September 7 at Leimakhong and on September 8 at Koutruk, Phumlou and Kadangband.

The competition is open to both male and female runners who are 18 and above 18 years of age.

The 86 Bn CRPF at Lamphelpat, meanwhile will host a 10 km run on September 5 at Pinjang and Noney under Noney district on September 5 and a 10 km cycling event on September 9 at Imphal.

The 109 Bn CRPF, on the other hand, will organise the run on September 5 at A/109 Bn at Tadubi and B/109 Bn at Maram Centre Local Ground.

The 109 Bn will also organise cycling and archery events under the same SPANDAN initiative.

First 100 registered runners in all the venues will be presented T-shirts, said communiques issued by the CRPF Battalions.

Notably, the top three athletes in all the runs will be feted with cash prize of Rs 10,000; Rs 6,000 and Rs 4,000 .

The runs will be organised on the theme- Run for Fitness, Run for Peace, Run for a Better Society and the cycling events on the theme- Cycle for Fitness, Cycle for Peace, Cycle for a Better Society.
