MNCA secretary greets NE Zone team on historic performance at Duleep Trophy 2025

Imphal, September 01 2025: The Manipur Cricket Association (MNCA) hon secretary Leishangthem Ronel has congratulated the entire North East Zone team and support staff for their commendable performance in the Duleep Trophy 2025 match against formidable Central Zone team, featuring well known National and international players.

Although the match concluded in a draw, the result will be remembered as a historic milestone for North East cricket.

The players not only competed against one of the strongest teams in the tournament but also displayed remarkable progress, grit and resilience, playing till the final ball with a true do-or-die spirit, said MNCA Hon secretary and convenor of the NE Zone Selection Committee in a press release.

The result stands as one of the finest performances by the North East Zone team in recent years and marks an important step forward in its cricketing journey, it said.

Ronel also thanked all the office bearers and selectors of the North East State Cricket Associations for their tireless efforts in assembling the best possible side to represent the region.

Their commitment and vision have been pivotal in ensuring steady growth and professionalism in North East Cricket, he said.

Maintaining the need for continued hard work, he also expressed hope that the North East Zone team will build on the momentum and achieve even greater in the years ahead.
