Imphal, July 30 2026: Imphal East fencers shone yet again to collect 16 medals including all 6 gold, 4 silver and 6 bronze across sub-junior and cadet competitions on Day 2 of the 22nd Governor's Cup State Level Fencing Championship 2026 at YAS Fencing Hall, Khuman Lampak.

Th Kishorjit of Imphal East won the Cadet Boys' Sabre gold by beating Ng Mangangba of Ukhrul as A Florina beat Payal N in an all Imphal East Cadet girls' final match to extend the gold medal haul.

Reo of Imphal East meanwhile beat L Bibik of Ukhrul to win the Sub-Junior Boys' Epee event gold as N Richtopper beat N Dexter in an all Imphal East Sabre final.

In the Sub-Junior Girls' Foil competition, Imphal East's Joshlin beat compatriot Ch Jerina to win the gold as Chilshilla beat N Deshita in an all Imphal East Epee final to make the 1-2 podium finishes.
