Imphal, May 29 2025: MPSC-A were crowned champions of the 2nd UNACCO Cup 2025, a state level nine-a-side men's open hockey tournament, after edging out MEIRAA 2-1 in a closely fought final at SEYO Akampat on Thursday.

S Suresh emerged as the hero for MPSC-A, netting both goals for his side.

He opened the scoring in the 13th minute before doubling their lead with a 16th-minute strike in the second quarter.

MEIRAA mounted a spirited comeback, reducing the deficit in the 43rd minute through Sachin's effort.

However, MPSC-A held firm to clinch a hard-fought victory.

In the individual awards, L Silheiba (KHSC) was named player of the tournament, while S Suresh (MPSC-A) claimed the player of the final accolade.

Satish (MEIRAA) was honoured as the best goalkeeper.
